With the cooperation of the Naikan Mirai Research Association, we constructed a next-generation cargo vessel that achieves both energy savings, CO2 reduction, and crew workload reduction.

The vessel's highlight is its container-type battery.

This is the first attempt to use a battery solely for powering equipment and accommodation, rather than for propulsion.

The winch and hatch covers are electrified so they can be powered by the battery.

On the propulsion side, a high-efficiency propeller and energy-saving attachments, rare for a 499GT vessel, are also installed.

The vessel is equipped with a steerjet (thruster) that shortens docking and undocking times.

At BariShip 2023, the vessel was exhibited at Imabari Port, attracting approximately 3,000 visitors.
