Oceangoing development with an eye on the next generation: environmentally friendly and practical ships

Our company is currently building a multipurpose cargo ship (MPP vessel), our first ocean-going vessel since our founding.

MPP vessels are able to flexibly handle a wide variety of cargo, and offer excellent transport efficiency and operational flexibility. We at MOL are focusing on their potential as a new option to meet global logistics needs.

The ships under construction will employ the latest technologies, including energy-saving hull designs, electronically controlled engines, and highly efficient propellers, and will comply with the international environmental standard "EEDI Phase 3."

Its high environmental performance and future potential have been highly evaluated, and it has been certified as part of the national "Specific Ship Introduction Plan."

Through this initiative, MOL will take a step forward as an ocean-going ship owner that combines CO₂ emissions reduction with strengthening international competitiveness and provides new value.
